Drum and Bass Producer
Emerging from the depths of his laboratory:
We present a Drum and Bass Producer
from the
underground in Rotterdam.
Re-Load is a self-taught artist built from stubborn curiosity
and a lifelong weakness for sounds that rattle the room.
It started with a toy piano/keyboard, where he
learned to play by ear at a surprisingly young age.
After too many heroic FAILED attempts to read notes,
he accepted that music theory is something that his brain simply refuses to learn.
He moved on to FL Studio and decided to let his instinct be the guide of his musical journey instead.
As part of it, he spent years crafting hip-hop beats
for rappers within Anarchy XIII to freestyle over.
No lessons, no rulebook.
Just endless experimentation and beats made by ear.
On the streets he earned his title: Re-Load.
A seed was planted years earlier by Rollcage Stage II on the PlayStation, its DNB soundtrack refused to disappear from his mind.
The fascination with Drum & Bass never disappeared.
Then came his first DNB party at Maassilo Rotterdam,
where he finally encountered that sound at full force.
The sound that followed him since childhood suddenly hit at full force and he walked out with a new problem:
DNB had taken over the operating system.
Since then Re-Load has been pushing deeper into more complex producing and refining his identity.
Synthesis, aggressive bass design, skull-heavy artwork and videos that look and feel like they crawled out of the same machine as the sound.
Every release is another experiment
in pressure, identity
and controlled chaos.
While claiming not to be a DJ,
his international sets already span parties and festivals
in the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and beyond.
